In order to address the needs expressed in this project, the first Intellectual Output was the development of an Entrepreneurship Training Course for Mentors and Pupils with a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) approach.
It was developed according to the needs of pupils with intellectual and developmental difficulties (IDD).
To be able to create a strong and sustainable course we:
- Identified and created tools for mentors that work with this population;
- Developed interactive and visual contents in order to increase students’ motivation;
- Understood the needs of the labour market where our participants can take an important role;
- Developed contents that help strengthening labour skills, both for employment and self-employment.
We assessed the skills with a European Commission tool called “EntreComp: The Entrepreneurship Competence Framework”.
This course was developed in an Innovative and Enhanced way, using various multimedia content (text, images, audio and/or video) using the best practices of accessibility and usability (e.g. HTML5). By using a MOOC approach we ensure an easier way for students to access and use, but also increases the transferability of the contents.
